Assistant Director of Admissions

Having just come through a record-setting admission cycle, Nichols College is growing its Admission Team. Eager to build upon this success and invigorated by the adoption of our new Strategic Plan, this is an exciting time to be joining Nichols. 

It is with this excitement that we are seeking an Assistant Director of Admissions. The successful candidate will play a crucial role within a talented, dedicated, and enthusiastic team as we tackle our ambitious enrollment goals. 

Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the successful candidate will be directly responsible for the recruitment of first-year students from a defined geographic territory. The individual in this role is expected to meet or exceed recruitment goals for the territory. They will be responsible for the cultivation and reading of students’ applications for admission and fostering the relationships with students/parents/guidance counselors that are essential to meeting enrollment goals. To do so, the successful candidate will frequently attend events such as college fairs and high school visits. Additionally, the candidate will participate in campus-based recruiting events such as open houses, information sessions, etc.

Overarching and Additional Responsibilities Include:  

- Implementation/execution of both traditional and new recruitment strategies in an evolving enrollment leading to successful on-campus enrollment of first-year students.  

- Speaking publicly about Nichols College during information sessions; school counseling office and classrooms visits, and during large admission events. Must be able to effectively communicate both in-person with both small or groups, and online via web conferencing platforms. 

- Embracing commitment to strong customer service and overt attention to prospective students' needs should stand at the core of all activities.  

- Being a team player who upholds and believes in the mission and vision of the College is essential.  

Qualifications:  

-  Demonstrated ability to thrive in a goal-oriented environment that has a high level of individual and team accountability.  

- Ability to work independently when traveling for the college  

- Communicates clearly and effectively both verbally, and in writing (prospect email/text/phone communication experience is critical).  

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, administrators, staff, counselors, faculty, alumni and others  

- Organization, and time management skills  

- Public Speaking  

- Experience in international student recruitment or experience in running social media campaigns is a plus. 

Minimum Requirements:  

- Bachelors degree required  

- Some experience or clear interest in admissions work or Sales, coaching, Recruitment, School Counseling, and College Readiness.  

- Demonstrated experience delivering exceptional customer service  

- Experience with the Slate CRM is beneficial 

- Experience managing a data-driven goal, quota, or territory preferred.  

- Willingness to travel, often extensively, domestically by car.  

 -Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.  

- Valid U.S. Driving license with a clean record. 

Salary : $45,000 - $52,500
