Financial Analyst 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Analyst to join our team at Nicholas and Company. This role is critical in supporting financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes that drive operational efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial modeling, and a passion for the food distribution industry.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. This is a salaried position schedule may change due to business demands.

Pay: $60,000-$75,000 based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Assist in pricing strategies and inventory valuation.
• Conduct cost analysis and margin reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Evaluate vendor contracts and distribution agreements from a financial perspective.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Analyze financial data and tends to support strategic planning and operational decisions.
• Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor company and departmental objectives and key results (OKRs) and provide actionable insights to management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Marketing) to assess the financial impact of business initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in food distribution, logistics, or consumer goods.
• Previous SQL experience is a plus.
• Proficient in BI applications (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, and Looker BI).
• Proficient in financial planning software (e.g., Oracle EPM, Anaplan).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Supply Chain Finance and Inventory Management is a plus.
