Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educational Assistant to join our vibrant learning community. In this role, you will support classroom teachers and contribute to creating an engaging, inclusive, and nurturing environment for students of diverse needs. Responsibilities

  • Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional activities, lesson implementation, and classroom management strategies
  • Support students with special needs, including those with autism and developmental disabilities.
  • Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt curriculum materials to meet diverse learning requirements
  • Facilitate communication using American Sign Language (ASL) when appropriate.
  • Engage children in literacy, math, and other foundational subjects through creative lesson planning and hands-on activities
  • Promote positive behavior management techniques to foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support early childhood development initiatives, including toddler care, preschool activities, and Montessori-based learning approaches

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or private school environments
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
  • Familiarity with special education strategies, behavior management techniques, and curriculum development for diverse learners
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and team members
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges such as autism or other special needs
  • Strong classroom management skills combined with patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude
  • Relevant certifications or training in early childhood education, literacy education, or related fields are advantageous
