Position: Supervisor
Work Experience / Qualities: Proficient use of vocabulary, knowledge of USDA / FSIS regulations regarding specific industry, low level management skills, documentation skills, minimum program development skills specific to industry, minimum training skills, skills to apply knowledge in an effective manner under production environment
Responsibility: Assist in leading a quality assurance department and laboratory including but not limited to people management, program development, implementation and management, employee training, and customer relations
Specifically:
1. Assist in managing employees (pre-operational and operational).
2. Assist in training quality assurance employees, production employees and management.
3. Assist in planning all training instructions and programs.
4. Assist in developing, implementing and managing all quality and regulatory programs.
5. Assist in managing a validation and verification laboratory analysis program.
6. Analyze day to day program results and assist manager in resolving issues from those results.
7. Communicate daily program results with production managers.
8. Resolve customer complaints with professionalism.
9. Work daily to improve sanitary practices within production facility.
Qualifications:
1. Participate in and promote all HACCP, SOP and SSOP training.
2. Participate in all Safety training for general plant and task specific for job position.
3. Equipment operation (knowledge of all laboratory and production equipment).
4. Knife sharpening and proper use specific to task.
5. Knowledge on how to clean and sanitize knives, equipment and work area as necessary to maintain a sanitary condition while meeting all requirements of HACCP, SSOP, SOP and company policy.
6. Acceptable attendance.
