Job Summary
We are seeking a part-time, dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently processing transactions. Your ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming environment will be essential in ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. This is a 10 hour per week position. The person who is hired must be available to work Wednesdays from 3pm - 7:30pm and Saturdays from 10am - 3:30pm. On occasion there could be additional hours available.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
- Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately to process sales transactions.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring accuracy in the cash register.
- Provide product information and assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store displays.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Responsible for store opening and closing duties.
- Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and retail math is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
