What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator JBFLEX Night Shift position at Nice-pak Products Llc?
POSITION PURPOSE
This is a safety sensitive position. This position is responsible for safe, efficient line stocking and warehousing of raw materials. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. This position will be expected to complete required training to advance to a Warehouse Operator within set timeframe.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
This position potentially interacts with all departments including but not limited to Quality, Shipping &Logistics, Maintenance, and Human Resources
Unload inbound shipments safely using proper equipment and procedures. Move product to storage locations and efficiently stack and place product in the appropriate area.
Stage product in advance of loading to ensure accuracy with quantities and codes, and to optimize the live loading schedule.
Relocate product as directed by Supervisor, Lead or Clerk to efficiently utilize available warehouse space.
Pick order as directed and prepare shipments in safe and efficient manner using proper equipment and procedures.
Load outbound freight in a safe and efficient manner using proper equipment and procedures.
Load, unload, move, stack and stage product using fork truck, clamp truck, or other powered equipment. Inspect and perform routine maintenance daily. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Conduct physical inventories as required.
Consistently pass required forklift testing and safety training.
WOIT: Training
Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner consistent with Company Safety policies.
Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required.
Adhere to all Company Safety work rules, policies, procedures and cGMPs.
Perform various tasks on all equipment when necessary, using proper safety equipment and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
WOP1: (2 Areas) performs the following plus items mentioned above
Complete 90-day Introductory Period (if new hire),
Training Documentation for 2 areas completed along with On-the-Job Checklists.
WOP2: (5 Areas) performs the following plus the items mentioned above:
WOP1 Certified
Training Documentation on 3 remaining assets completed along with On-the-Job Checklists.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Familiar with freight damage and claim procedures
Understand Safety Data Sheet information and warnings
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum one-year experience in Shipping, Receiving or Warehouse position with material handling and fork truck operation responsibilities
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Good verbal communication skills
Ability to use Warehouse Management System
Capable of performing simple math and making measurement conversions
Good handwriting and clerical skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Ability to operate a lift truck safely and maintain certification
Ability to follow directions and work independently
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Bending, standing, stooping, and walking
Sitting for extended periods of time over a 12-hour shift
Lifting up to 50 lbs
Twisting and turning body and neck repetitively over a 12-hour shift
Pushing and pulling 10-20 lbs over head
Climbing onto and off of forklift (2 steps)
Must be able to physically and visually navigate the production floor and assigned work areas in a safe manner, including areas of varying texture, temperature and line of sight.
