Summary: Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Manufacturing Engineer will leverage several years of industry experience to provide factory support to internal customers. This role focuses on improving manufacturing processes, designing equipment and fixtures, and documenting procedures to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments to improve, document, and deploy production and business processes, analyze data to identify root causes, and facilitate improvement teams. This position is a key driver for continuous improvement and will be closely involved in new product development to ensure quality and manufacturability are integrated from the outset.
Location: Kent, WA (onsite)
Salary Range: $90,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes.
- Support the troubleshooting of manufacturing issues and the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
- Participate in the design and implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and R&D, to achieve project goals.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and process flow diagrams.
- Conduct time studies and analyze production data to identify areas for optimization.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage new product implementation and the hand off from product design team to manufacturing team.
- Other Duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2 - 3 Years of relevant Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in using Microsoft applications (i.e., Excel, Word, PPT, etc.).
- Proficient in using CAD based software, SolidWorks preferred.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and lean principles.
