Duties
- Provide professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and styling tailored to client preferences
- Utilize salon software and MINDBODY systems for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking
- Perform specialized treatments such as straight razor shaves, hair coloring, hair extensions, and hair threading
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail upselling to enhance client satisfaction
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide consultations on hair styling and color theory options
- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, and handling retail transactions
- Mentor junior staff or apprentices when applicable to foster a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with current certification to practice professionally
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on barbering and hair styling techniques
- Strong knowledge of salon software platforms such as MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management
- Skilled in hair coloring, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect confidently with clients and understand their needs
- Familiarity with sanitation protocols and store management practices to ensure a safe environment
- Ability to upsell retail products effectively while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Knowledge of retail math for inventory management and sales optimization
