SUNY Reconnect Advisor (Temporary)

SUNY Niagara is seeking a passionate, student-centered individual to serve as a SUNY Reconnect Advisor. This grant-funded position, supported by the SUNY Reconnect initiative, plays a vital role in supporting adult learners entering into or returning to higher education.The SUNY Reconnect Advisor is responsible for recruiting, tracking, assisting, and monitoring the progress of an assigned cohort of students. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to providing advisement support, developing and conducting presentations, monitoring student academic progress, supporting continuous student enrollment, and ensuring students receive information on available academic and student support services. Documentation of services and student progress is an essential requirement of this position. This position will report to both the Director of Student Success and the Director of Admissions.This is a tempoary full-time, grant funded position up to one year in lenghth. This position reports both the Director of Student Success Services and Director of Admissions.This position will be scheduled 35 hours per week between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
