What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at Niagara Partners, Inc?
Associate Attorney
Our client is a well established 100 person plaintiff law firm based in downtown Manhattan. They are starting up a new team and are looking for Associate level Attorneys to join their growing firm.
Ideally, we are looking for someone with at least 5-10 years experience as a Plaintiff Personal Injury Attorney that can take a case from intake to verdict.
The are looking to pay the position a base of 175k-210k, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Represent plaintiffs in motor vehicle accident cases, general negligence, premises liability and labor law litigation from inception through trial
- Responsible for managing caseload of 75-100 active files.
- Conduct thorough legal research, analyze evidence and develop effective legal strategies to build strong cases
- Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable laws and regulations
- Conduct depositions, interviews and negotiations with opposing counsel and parties involved
- Evaluate cases for settlement and engaging in settlement negotiations with insurance companies and opposing counsel
- Present persuasive oral arguments in court hearings, mediations and trials
- Collaborate with experts, such as medical professionals and accident reconstruction specialists, to strengthen case theories and secure favorable outcomes
- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates on case progress and legal options
In this role, you can also receive additional compensation / percentages through a incentive structure based on performance. They have a more aggressive percentage plan if you bring in any of your own cases.
They are also open to adding Associates with 2-5 years of experience at a lower base salary.
Salary : $175,000 - $210,000
