Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Powder Coat / Sandblast Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing metal components through sandblasting and applying high-quality powder coatings to ensure durability, corrosion resistance, and a professional finish. Responsibilities
- Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces of metal parts, ensuring optimal adhesion for coatings
- Apply powder coatings using airless paint spraying equipment, ensuring even coverage and high-quality finishes
- Set up and operate forklifts and cranes for materials handling, moving parts safely within the workspace.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to prepare surfaces for coating
- Conduct quality inspections utilizing measurement tools and visual assessments to verify coating adherence and surface integrity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols related to manufacturing, welding, and industrial painting processes.
Qualifications
- Experience operating forklifts, cranes, and hand tools in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material quantities.
- Prior experience with sandblasting, powder coating application, airless paint spraying, or industrial painting is desirable but not required.
- Strong safety awareness with adherence to workplace safety standards.
