National Instruments Corporation is seeking a Strategic Account Manager for its offices in San Jose, CA
Job Description:
- Combine technological background and business acumen to understand customer's business and product design cycles.
- Apply Sales prospecting skills, networking, and due diligence to identify business opportunities that have a high impact on customer's business and large revenue impact for National Instruments Corporation (NI).
- Work with multiple internal and external stakeholders across functions and geographies to develop, own, and execute on account strategies that align customer business objectives to NI's tools and services and roadmap investments.
- Apply problem solving and project management skills to drive progress on the account strategy.
- Manage, influence, and close sales opportunities by understanding customer's business, personal, and technical needs and connecting to the value NI can provide through systems, services, and partners.
- Constantly expand on the area of influence to which NI can contribute by engaging new groups and customer leadership.
- Represent customer needs internally at NI to drive internal business decisions for future investment directions.
- Apply negotiation skills to ensure favorable contractual terms and business outcomes for NI.
- Part-time telecommuting permitted.
Job Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or another closely related field plus 3 years of experience in a Business-to-Business Sales occupation within the Test & Measurement or Semiconductor industry. The required experience must include:
- 3 years of experience of working with large, complex account management and execution at both the tactical level and strategic level.
- 2 years of experience developing and maintaining executive-level relationships internally and externally.
- 3 years of experience selling in a long sales cycle with complex custom engineering hardware and software solutions.
- 2 years of experience selling to engineering leadership, including the C-suite.
- 3 years of experience selling Electronic Test & Measurement or Test Automation Tools to customers in the Semiconductor, Consumer Electronics, Healthcare, or Transportation industries.
Part-time telecommuting permitted.
