Nebraska Irrigation / Nitech IPM is seeking an Electrical Technician to join our team. This position involves hands-on work with electrical systems for center pivot irrigation and pallet wrapping equipment. Candidates must have a two-year degree in electrical technology or equivalent experience in electrical systems, controls, and schematics. Applicants should have a solid understanding of PLCs and motor control principles and be comfortable using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Experience with drafting and design software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, test, modify, and improve electrical and control equipment.
- Develop, interpret, and update wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and specifications.
- Build and test electrical panels, motor-control devices, and circuit boards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues; perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Plan and document electrical testing; recommend improvements or replacements for underperforming systems.
- Apply organizational and technical skills to manage projects and ensure timely completion.
Customer & Technical Support:
- Provide customers with technical assistance and troubleshooting support.
- Communicate clearly and professionally to resolve service questions.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure customer satisfaction and equipment reliability.
Qualifications:
- Two-year degree in electrical technology (or equivalent).
- Relevant hands-on electrical experience.
- Strong understanding of PLC programming, electrical schematics, and motor controls.
- Proficient with general Windows applications.
- Ability to learn and use drafting or design software as needed.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
