Are you a passionate and motivated Occupational Therapist looking to take the next step in your career? We are looking for an innovative Band 6 Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. This post sits within our acute inpatient team in Perth Royal Infirmary. You will work within a multidisciplinary team holding your own caseload, providing clinical assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to patients across the older persons medicine pathway.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience working as an OT within physical rehabilitation services, possess excellent communication and decision making skills and have a confident approach to multidisciplinary team working within an integrated Health and Social Care setting.
You will have the skills to support and progress service development in a busy environment within a supportive and friendly team.
We have a comprehensive in-service training programme and staff are encouraged and supported in their continuous professional development. As a senior OT you will be expected to support junior OT staff and have regular supervision sessions and appraisals. You will be supported in the role by the Team Lead OT via regular informal and formal supervisions.
In line with the evidence base and the strategic direction of NHS Tayside, the Allied Health Professions, will be moving towards 7 day working. This is for improved outcomes and to maximise a person-centred equitable approach to care. Therefore all new contracts for AHP staff will be for a 5 out of 7 day service/rota to enable the service to be ready to move to a safe and effective 7 day service.
