💰 Pay: $18.00 – $22.00/hr (based on experience)

⏰ Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Day Shift

Position Summary

The Payroll Coordinator / Financial Specialist Assistant / HR Payroll Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, while supporting human resources, on-boarding, and daily business office functions.

What You’ll Do

Payroll (Primary Focus)

  • Process payroll accurately and on time
  • Collect, calculate, and enter employee time and pay data
  • Ensure compliance with payroll policies and regulations
  • Respond to payroll-related questions and maintain confidentiality
  • Review and resolve payroll discrepancies

HR & On-boarding

  • Assist with on-boarding new hires (background checks, drug screens, I-9, E-Verify)
  • Process and enter new employee information into payroll system
  • Distribute benefits information and support employee documentation
  • Conduct WOTC process and assist with new hire orientation tasks
  • Maintain and audit personnel files

Administrative & Office Support

  • Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with clerical duties
  • Maintain organized records and filing systems
  • Generate reports related to payroll, attendance, and HR functions
  • Serve as liaison between employees and HR, Benefits, and Accounting
  • Support overall business office operations

Compliance & Reporting

  • Complete Workers’ Compensation reports and OSHA logs
  • Track employee leave and assist with leave management
  • Support audits and regulatory compliance processes

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of payroll and/or accounting experience required
  • Associate’s degree in business or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Knowledge of payroll systems (UKG experience a plus)
  • Understanding of federal and state payroll regulations
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills
