Position Summary: Floor Tech
Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, the Floor Tech is responsible for maintaining all flooring surfaces throughout the facility and assisting with the cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain floors in hallways, entryways, and common areas
- Dust mop, wet mop, strip, wax, and buff floors according to schedule
- Use approved cleaning agents and equipment while following proper procedures
- Inspect equipment for proper function and report any issues
- Clean and maintain equipment after each use
- Assist with cleaning resident rooms and assigned areas as needed
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Positive attitude with patience and compassion for the elderly and disabled
- Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to perform physical job duties and meet job requirements
