🧹 Position Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, the Floor Tech / EVS Technician is responsible for maintaining floors throughout the facility and assisting with general housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas.
🔧 What You'll Do
- Dust and wet mop floors in hallways, entryways, and common areas
- Strip, wax, and buff floors according to cleaning schedules
- Operate and maintain floor care equipment properly
- Inspect equipment for proper functioning and report any issues
- Clean equipment after each use
- Assist with cleaning resident rooms and assigned areas as needed
- Follow all infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Experience in floor care, housekeeping, or environmental services (EVS) preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude with patience and reliability
- Ability to work with elderly and disabled populations
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Must be at least 18 years of age
