🍽️ Position Overview: Dietary Aide (Day Shift)
We are currently seeking a dependable and team-oriented Dietary Aide to support meal service and sanitation operations within our Dietary Department. This role plays an important part in ensuring residents receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
✅ What You’ll Do
- Support meal and snack preparation, service, and delivery
- Keep work areas, equipment, tables, and floors clean and sanitary
- Wash dishes and utensils; collect soiled items and properly store clean items
- Review meal trays for accuracy based on menus and diet orders
- Store raw and leftover food safely and according to guidelines
- Follow all universal precautions, sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures
- Work some weekends and holidays as part of the team rotation
- Patient, respectful, and upbeat attitude — especially when working with older adults and individuals with disabilities
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Reliable, dependable, and able to perform the essential functions of the role
