CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST IN GENERAL ADULT (4 posts)

Permanent appointment – Full time (10 PAs)

Our community services have undergone significant redesign with a strong Fife Health & Social Care Partnership

There is a large multidisciplinary emphasis and focus upon partnership working, with commitments to clear clinical leadership by the consultant psychiatrist. Pathways for personality disorder/complex trauma, neurodevelopmental disorders, eating disorders are in development and opportunities for interested clinicians to have active involvement exist.

You will be working within the current sectorised model covering both community and inpatient settings however as we continue to develop and improve services this model may be open to changes with input from clinicians.

Applicants who are fully registered medical practitioners with MRCPsych or equivalent, and an appropriate CCT (or be eligible for inclusion within 6 months of the interview date) are invited to make enquiries. We also encourage candidates who wish to pursue specialist registration through the CESR process to get in touch and specific support to acquire this is available.

Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR - Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training to Non-UK Applicants must demonstrate that they have the knowledge, skills and experience required for practising as an eligible specialist in the UK.
