Responsibilities
[Vendor Management & Sourcing]
- Evaluate, onboard, and manage vendors for product merchandising and sourcing.
- Negotiate terms and pricing while maintaining optimal inventory levels with vendors.
[Merchandising Strategy & Product Selection]
- Develop merchandising strategies based on sales performance and seasonal trends.
- Plan and execute seasonal and promotional assortments to maximize sales.
- Identify bestsellers and steady sellers to optimize product selection.
- Curate product collections by selecting essential items.
[Market Research & Trend Analysis]
- Conduct market research to explore new revenue-generating categories and share insights with relevant teams.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify growth opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
[Cross-functional Collaboration & Business Alignment]
- Partner with teams across product management, marketing, and vendor management to align merchandising strategies with business goals.
- Collaborate on new product launches, seasonal campaigns, and special projects.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
[Content & Marketing Strategy]
- Identify key product selling points for marketing and promotions.
- Develop content strategies to effectively showcase products.
- Prepare products in advance for wholesale buyers, considering seasonal demand and holiday sales periods.
[Data Analysis & Optimization]
- Utilize data analysis to refine product selection and enhance platform performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in B2B merchandising, wholesale sales, or related roles, with a strong understanding of wholesale markets and client needs.
- Bilingual in Korean and English
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with merchandising software or ERP systems is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in the LA Fashion District/ with a distributor
- Understanding the e-Commerce fashion market
- Proficient in MS Office / Excel and Google Analytics
- Experience in e-commerce B2C or B2B marketplace
