Position: Accounting Intern - Part Time
Caris Corporate Office – Knoxville, TN
Caris HealthCare is looking for an Accounting Intern to join our team. The Accounting Intern will be under the direction of an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant. The Accounting Intern supports the Finance Dept. by assisting with day to day accounting functions, reporting and data analysis.
Description of Position
•Assist with journal entries and account reconciliations
•Assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements
•Provide support to Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, vendor file maintenance, and basic reporting
•Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives within the Finance department
•Participate in data collection, validation, and processing of large data sets to support financial reporting
•Perform other duties as assigned for the good of the company.
Qualifications
•Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
•Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
•Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
•High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
