Responsibilities- Coordinate and dispatch drivers for deliveries and pickups in a timely and efficient manner.
- Manage and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely service while minimizing costs.
- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support.
- Monitor the status of deliveries and promptly address any issues that arise during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and driver schedules.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and operations.
- Assist in the training and onboarding of new dispatch personnel as needed.
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a related logistics role.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Familiarity with dispatching software and GPS systems.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background; additional training in logistics or transportation is a plus.
