Clinical Professional Health Coordinator:
Position Summary
The New Hampshire Professionals Health Program (NHPHP) is seeking a clinically
experienced healthcare professional to support the assessment, referral, monitoring, and coordination of care for healthcare professionals with potentially impairing health
conditions. This position works collaboratively with the Medical Director, clinical staff, treatment providers, licensing boards, and healthcare organizations to support professional health, recovery, wellness, and safe practice.
The ideal candidate will have experience in behavioral health, addiction, healthcare professional wellness, case management, monitoring programs, or healthcare systems coordination, along with strong communication and organizational skills.
This role includes both clinical and administrative responsibilities and offers the opportunity to participate in statewide professional health and wellness initiatives.
Clinical Responsibilities
· Collaborate in participant intake processes, clinical review, and administrative tasks to coordinate overall planning for healthcare professionals who self refer or are referred by other entities
· Assist in screening, triage and coordination of clinical care needs
· Facilitate referrals to appropriate treatment, evaluation, and support services locally, regionally, and nationally
· Obtain and organize treatment and clinical information for team review and care coordination
· Participate in regular participant monitoring review meetings and interdisciplinary case discussions
· Communicate program expectations, policy reminders, and participant updates as needed
· Participate in a shared rotating on-call schedule for Soberlink monitoring alerts and related participant communication
· Communicate with NHPHP’s third-party administrator and monitoring vendors as needed
· Conduct outreach to collection sites, treatment providers, healthcare systems, and other stakeholders throughout New Hampshire as needed
· Coordinate with providers involved in participant care to obtain necessary clinical information and documentation
· Assist with relationship development and outreach to hospitals, professional organizations, licensing boards, treatment programs, and healthcare leaders
· Participate in participant support, educational programming, and professional wellness initiatives as appropriate
Program Development Responsibilities
· Collaborate with Medical Director and staff to develop meaningful programming and support strategies for healthcare professionals served by NHPHP
· Participate in professional health, wellness, recovery, and healthcare workforce initiatives at the state, regional, and national level
· Support development of educational and outreach initiatives related to healthcare professional well-being and monitoring
· Participate in continuing education and professional development related to professional health, behavioral health, addiction medicine, recovery, and monitoring programs
Administrative Responsibilities
· Collaborate with leadership to support the mission, goals, and operations of NHPHP
· Become familiar with and refer to Federation of State PHP 2019 Guidelines for monitoring Healthcare Professionals
· Maintain familiarity with NHPHP policies, procedures, and professional health program standards
· Collaborate with and support clinical case management staff to ensure timely, accurate, and appropriate participant documentation
· Maintain accurate and timely clinical and administrative records
· Participate in team meetings and organizational planning activities as needed
Qualifications Required
· Current New Hampshire professional license in good standing — or license eligibility in New Hampshire — through one of the following:
o Medicine
o Nursing
o Psychology
o Mental Health Practice
o New Hampshire Board of Licensing for Alcohol and Other Drug Use Professionals
· Experience or strong interest in behavioral health, addiction, healthcare professional wellness, or professional monitoring programs
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
· Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams/Zoom, and ability to learn cloud-based systems efficiently
· Experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, case management, healthcare administration, or healthcare professional monitoring
· Familiarity with recovery support models including 12-step recovery programs
· Experience working with healthcare professionals or safety-sensitive populations
· If a former participant in a professional health program, a minimum of five years in stable recovery is preferred
Working Details
· 3 days per week or 24 hours a week with flexibility (to be discussed and described)
· Office hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
· Hybrid/remote work options may be negotiable; in-office presence expected at least three days weekly
