Independent Contractor Delivery Driver (1099)

Location: Fletcher / Asheville, NC

Compensation: $250 per day

Schedule: Monday–Friday

NH Med Services is seeking a reliable, professional independent contractor to provide medical equipment delivery services throughout Asheville, Fletcher, Hendersonville and surrounding Western North Carolina communities.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who owns a suitable delivery vehicle, enjoys driving, and takes pride in providing dependable service.

• Pick up medical equipment from our Fletcher warehouse and complete assigned delivery routes.
• Deliver durable medical equipment, including wheelchairs, walkers, oxygen supplies and other medical equipment.
• Safely load, transport and unload equipment.
• Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers and dispatch.
• Complete required delivery documentation using a smartphone.
• Communicate delivery delays, issues or unsuccessful delivery attempts promptly.
• Handle all equipment carefully and professionally.

Applicants MUST provide their own vehicle.

• Enclosed cargo van or sprinter van or eligible vehicle required.
• SUVs and sedans are not accepted.
• Vehicle must be reliable, clean and capable of safely transporting medical equipment.
• Valid driver's license and appropriate vehicle insurance required.
• Contractor is responsible for gas, vehicle maintenance, repairs and normal wear and tear.
• No mileage cap on assigned routes.

• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Comfortable communicating with patients and caregivers.
• Able to safely lift, load and unload medical equipment.
• Smartphone with GPS/navigation capabilities.
• Previous courier, delivery or medical equipment experience preferred but not required.
• Able to meet applicable background screening requirements.

• $250 per service day.
• Routes generally available Monday through Friday.
• Delivery mileage and route lengths may vary.
• Contractor provides their own vehicle and covers operating expenses.
• Additional details regarding routes and contractor expectations will be discussed during the interview.
