NGV Talent is hiring Vehicle Technicians and Autonomous Vehicle Technicians to support maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, troubleshooting, and fleet readiness operations for autonomous vehicle platforms across multiple locations. These roles focus on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, repair coordination, operational readiness, and supporting advanced vehicle systems in both workshop and field environments.
This position is ideal for candidates with automotive, EV, robotics, fleet maintenance, diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, or autonomous systems experience who are comfortable working in fast-paced operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure, maintain, diagnose, and sign off vehicles for safe on-road operation
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and fleet reworks
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues
• Coordinate repairs from diagnosis through resolution
• Escalate complex technical issues to engineering teams when needed
• Support troubleshooting and validation through diagnostic testing and log collection
• Maintain detailed service records, repair documentation, and field quality reports
• Support fleet readiness for demonstrations, testing, and operational deployments
• Maintain shop organization, tooling, inventory, and operational readiness
• Support field deployments, customer demonstrations, and operational testing activities
• Travel locally as needed to support maintenance and operational activities
• Interface with engineering, product, and operations teams to improve repair processes and fleet performance
• Train operators or junior technicians when applicable
Requirements
• 2–5 years of automotive, EV, robotics, fleet, or mechanical technician experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
• Experience using automotive tools, diagnostic systems, and shop equipment
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check, MVR check, and drug screening
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced operational environments
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work extended periods standing or moving around shop or field environments
• Ability to follow structured repair procedures, safety standards, and diagnostic processes
Preferred Qualifications
• Automotive degree or trade school certification
• ASE certifications or OEM certifications
• Experience with EV systems, high-voltage systems, ADAS, or autonomous vehicle technology
• Experience with CAN/LIN systems, wiring diagrams, soldering, or electrical diagnostics
• Experience using advanced diagnostic tools and software
• Experience in automotive engineering labs, testing environments, or research facilities
• Forklift certification or gantry operation experience
• Experience towing trailers or transporting fleet vehicles
• Linux-based troubleshooting experience preferred for some locations
