Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Omaha, NE (Onsite – 5 days a week)
Duration: 12 Months with possible extension

Job Summary

• We are seeking a Business Analyst to support business and technology teams by gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements for operational and system-related initiatives. This role will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into structured requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that support successful product delivery. 
• The ideal candidate will have experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, supporting backlog management, UAT, rollout activities, and process improvement initiatives, preferably within operations-driven environments such as logistics, supply chain, or transportation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand current processes, identify gaps, and define business needs.
• Convert requirements into clear documentation, including business requirements, functional requirements, and process flows.
• Write user stories with detailed acceptance criteria to support development and testing teams.
• Ensure requirements are well-structured, traceable, and aligned with business objectives.
• Work within Agile/Scrum frameworks to support sprint planning, backlog refinement, prioritization, and requirement clarification.
• Collaborate with product, business, and technical teams to ensure work items are ready for delivery.
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by validating requirements, supporting test scenarios, and tracking issue resolution.
• Support product delivery, implementation, and rollout activities to ensure smooth adoption of business solutions.
• Develop business-facing documentation, executive updates, and process diagrams as needed.
• Interpret system flows, operational workflows, and basic technical architecture to support analysis and solution planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for business or technology initiatives.
• Experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in support of Agile delivery teams.
• Experience translating business needs into structured requirements and process documentation.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams across business and technology functions.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices, including backlog refinement and sprint support.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Excel, and Visio or equivalent platforms.
• Ability to interpret system diagrams, process flows, and basic technical architecture.
• Experience working in operations-heavy environments such as logistics, supply chain, or transportation.
• Experience with backlog management and prioritization.
• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and product rollout activities.
• Experience preparing executive updates and business-facing documentation.
