Description
The primary responsibility of a Specialist is to help monitor product condition activities of the warehouse, reporting any abnormalities. Must be able to work a schedule performing eight plus hours per day which could include overtime, weekends, and holidays when required. Prior experience with 3PL, Retail Distribution, and Reserve Logistics/E-commerce experience is a plus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Check product for deformities, damage, unsealed, etc.
2. Use handheld scanning device to scan barcodes on products.
3. Operate pallet jacks to move products to designated destination.
4. Determine and designate appropriate condition.
5. Report conditions and respond with information as necessary.
6. Utilize computer to communicate through management team.
7. Collaborate with operations on ways to improve processes or products.
8. Recommend necessary actions, based on inspection results.
9. Maintain test documentation or inspection records.
10. Clean and maintain an organized work area.
11. Maintain safe work environment.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
1. GED/High School Diploma and/or prior experience helpful.
2. Ability to follow and comprehend instructions from leadership.
3. Possesses effective written and verbal communications skills.
4. Possesses effective reading comprehension skills.
5. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
6. Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
7. Able to bend, stoop, reach above, and push/pull frequently.
8. Ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time without stress.
9. Ability to stand, walk, and use hands continuously during and up to 10-12-hour shift.
10. Good hand and eye coordination required.
