Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading all maintenance operations within the facility, ensuring equipment reliability, operational continuity, and regulatory compliance. This role oversees maintenance technicians, manages preventive maintenance programs, and provides hands-on technical expertise across electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. The supervisor ensures timely and accurate completion of work orders, coordinates contractor activity, and maintains an effective parts inventory.

A key focus of the role is driving safety, quality, and productivity through proactive problem-solving, clear communication with Distribution Center leadership, and continuous improvement of material-handling systems. The position also plays a critical role in emergency preparedness, developing disaster recovery plans, conducting safety drills, and ensuring certifications for equipment operation. Strong leadership, technical skills, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced 3PL or warehouse environment are essential.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assuming direct reporting responsibility for all Maintenance Technicians as well as indirect responsibility for non-exempt maintenance employees

· Developing and managing preventive maintenance programs and ensuring schedules are adhered to minimize downtime

· Providing technical expertise in the areas of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulics to ensure proper operation of all mechanical equipment.

· Completing quality audits of technicians work tasks and communicate results

· Constantly communicating operations and maintenance issues to DC Management

· Identifying and proposing meaningful improvements to the material handling system to improve productivity, quality and/or service

· Managing the parts inventory

· Opening, assigning, and closing scheduled work orders and creating non-scheduled work orders

· Obtaining and reviewing contractor bids for repairs and facility projects and coordinating projects to fit the business needs and parameters, while ensuring contractor adherence to quality, scheduling, and budgetary guideline standards

· Maintaining compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and regulation that affect the plant operations, including all required documentation.

· Complying fully with safety policies and practices to promote safety awareness in the DCs

· Performing root cause analysis for any abnormal conditions/failures and taking required corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrence

· Oversee janitorial work with business partners at the facility

· Managing/overseeing the repair and maintenance of equipment, assigning work orders, and ensuring safety and production related work orders are highest priority

· Establishing schedules, methods, and procedures for departmental work order program

· Ensure the exterior of the facility meets nGroup/customer standards

· HVAC, Electrical Pannels, conveyance, and robotics experience is a plus





· Ensure all employees requiring equipment operation are certified through a certified program.

· Developing a Disaster Recovery Plan (DSP) for all equipment in the case of a catastrophic event.

· Implementing a Lock out tag out procedures for all equipment. To include training.

· Managing maintenance techs from level 1 to level 3.

· Working with the engineering team when implementing new equipment as well as budgeting for future projects.

· Set up meetings with local fire department to conduct walk throughs on a regular cadence.

· Developing and implementing disaster drills on a regular basis. Fire, Tornados, Floods, etc.

· Developing an equipment response protocol when equipment is down that is affecting operations.


Skills & Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field preferred.

· 3 to 5 years of proven experience in maintenance and facility management, preferably in a 3PL or warehouse environment.

· An understanding of Hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Proficiency in maintenance software and computer systems. Having CMMS experience is a plus.

· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

· Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.

· Excellent communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Flexibility to work irregular hours as required, including evenings and weekends.

Work Environment:


· Fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and physical activity.

· May require occasional travel to other warehouse locations or client sites.

· Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.

The associate will be responsible for conducting their tasks in a warehouse setting that may experience varying temperatures.


1. Navigate within the warehouse to operate machinery and utilize other equipment.

2. Endure extended periods of standing and may occasionally need to walk, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift or move objects weighing up to fifty pounds.

3. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

4. Scan, manage, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to fifty pounds.

5. Climb up and down ladders.

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
