In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and other heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across various routes. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers,dry van, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with Automatic transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver goods to customers’ locations promptly while managing route driving plans for optimal efficiency
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, load details, and route logs for compliance purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route changes, or any issues encountered during tripsSkills
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL A license and a clean driving record
- Ability to perform routine truck inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Familiarity with route planning software and GPS navigation tools for efficient delivery routes
- Pets are welcome
- Will get paid extra for extra stops, detention and layover
