Senior Imaging Service Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Imaging Engineer to join a well-established healthcare technology and medical imaging service organization.

This senior-level position will be responsible for the service, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and installation of complex medical imaging equipment within a healthcare environment.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience within one or more advanced imaging modalities, such as MRI, CT, Cath Lab, or other diagnostic imaging systems, and will act as a technical resource for both clinical teams and fellow engineers.

Key Responsibilities
Service, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install complex medical imaging equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, calibration, and performance verification.
Diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, computer, and system-level faults.
Minimize equipment downtime and ensure systems are operating safely and effectively.
Communicate equipment status and repair progress with clinical teams and relevant stakeholders.
Coordinate with OEMs, vendors, and third-party service providers when required.
Maintain accurate service records, equipment histories, and maintenance documentation.
Ensure equipment servicing meets applicable healthcare and regulatory requirements.
Support equipment installations, incoming inspections, and inventory management.
Maintain an appropriate inventory of commonly required replacement parts.
Work alongside relevant clinical and technical specialists to support equipment performance and patient safety.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less-experienced engineers.
Participate in engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience Required
5 years of experience servicing medical imaging equipment.
Strong experience in the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and/or installation of imaging systems.
Experience within one or more advanced imaging modalities, including MRI, CT, Cath Lab, or other complex diagnostic imaging systems.
Strong electrical, electronic, mechanical, computer, and networking troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to interpret system error codes, technical documentation, and service information.
Experience working within hospitals, healthcare facilities, or similar clinical environments.
Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
Ability to work independently and provide technical support to other engineers.

Education & Qualifications
Associate/2-year technical degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline is advantageous but not essential.
OEM or specialist medical imaging service training is highly desirable.
Good understanding of computer systems and networking.
Valid driver's license required.

Additional Requirements
Ability to safely lift and move equipment or components weighing up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working hands-on with complex medical equipment, including bending, kneeling, reaching, and working within equipment areas.
Some travel may be required depending on customer and business requirements.
