PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

 Act at the Associate Level Preservica Manager, able to ingest and manage

assets in the platform. The expectation is to become an Expert level in the future.

 Perform auditing and quality control of content described for Preservica to ensure

uniformity and quality across the platform.

 Triage the collections for digital preservation and define metadata needs specific

to the collection, as streamlined a feasible.

 Assist the customer support to staff, committee members, and the public.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

 Maste Degree in Library and Information Science. Or enrolled in MLS with

work experience.

 2 – 4 years’ experience in digital asset management systems

 Experience with Preservica desired. High degree of experience with other

archival DAMS considered.

 Strong attention to detail

 Ability to work independently


Exposure to the list below, desired.

 Metadata Schemas: METS, DC, MODS, EAD, CDWAlite, PREMIS, EDM,

MARCXML, EAC-CPF

 Description Standards: DACS, MARC, DDC, LOC, RDA

 Programming Languages: XML, HTML, Python

 Working knowledge of industry standards such as LCSH, MARC21, Dublin Core.

Salary ranges at NFPA are set by role and level, based on current competitive market data. Final compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including the specific skills, relevant experience, education, and training you bring to the role, as well as internal equity and business needs. For candidates whose qualifications align well with the role’s requirements and expectations, offers are often made toward the minimum of the posted range. Exceptional qualifications or unique circumstances may result in placement higher in the range. NFPA is committed to fair, competitive pay and offers a strong total rewards package, including comprehensive benefits.

Salary Range: $51,921.00 - $85,587.00
