Job Summary:
The Senior Account Manager is responsible for working with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts. The position requires day-to-day client and account management for a book of high-profile, VIP clientele, which entails a significant amount of verbal, electronic, and written communications. You will have responsibility for managing the renewal and marketing process from start to finish, in conjunction with the Account Executives and Advisors. In addition, you will prepare materials for presentations and communications, in collaboration with more senior team members. At this level, the Senior Account Manager takes an active speaking role in client meetings. While in this role, you will be maintaining relationships with clients and carrier contacts. This is not a new-business producer sales role. You will initially be in a shared-servicing role on a book of business. Your growth will lead you to managing your own clients and getting exposure to larger/complex accounts.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in our Charlotte, NC office, with minimal in-office requirements. We will consider a remote option for candidates who live within a commutable distance and can travel to the office a few days per month as needed. Remote eligibility will depend on your experience level and insurance industry knowledge. All candidates must be able to work on an Eastern Time (EST) schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works proactively to maintain relationships with carrier and client contacts on an assigned book of business. Take the lead on client meetings for assigned accounts.
- The Senior Account Manager will have responsibility for managing the renewal and marketing process from start to finish, in conjunction with the Account Executives and Advisors.
- Communicates directly with clients and carriers, in collaboration with the Account Executive or Advisor/Client Executive.
- Creates and maintains client files in accordance with office procedures. Responsible for keeping client policy records in the agency management system.

- Highly organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Able to work overtime as necessary.
- Ability to successfully interact with a variety of people and function well both in a team environment and autonomously.
- Ability to handle situations in a calm, courteous and professional manner.
- Customer-focused to establish and maintain effective relationships.
- Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Intermediate level of experience in agency management system(s). EPIC is highly preferred.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines with strong time management skills.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-confident to make sound independent decisions while displaying a team mindset
- Possess sharp attention to details, decision-making and problem resolution skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, deadlines and technology.
Education and/or Experience:
- More than 5 years of industry and product line experience
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2-3 years in High-Net-Worth personal insurance service
- Experience with EPIC or other client management CRM
- Must understand and apply the knowledge of high-level and high-touch points in client management
- BA/BS or insurance industry training and/or license preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required
Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
- P&C Insurance License required upon hire

The base salary range for this position is $57,000 – $90,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
