What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Events Intern - Fall position at nfm | full service marketing agency?
Summary
The nfm Events Intern will collaborate with our Account Service/Events team in all stages of events and/or experiential marketing for our roster of clients. An enthusiastic approach and insightful contributions will assist our team in planning and executing events such as Grand Openings, Grand Reopenings, and Celebrity/Player Appearances. Most days of the internship will provide hands-on events/marketing skills training while delivering first-hand experience of various events/experiential procedures used to strategize, plan, and execute client projects. Occasionally, there will be administrative duties in developing and implementing certain events/experiential projects. The Events Intern may have the opportunity to apply for individual brand ambassador shifts as they arise, paid at the published hourly rate (which may vary based on the project).

Key Responsibilities
Event Planning
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project strategy and goals
- Help draft, proof and maintain event documents, including run of shows, timelines, contact sheets, site maps, etc
Event Coordination
- Assist in the coordination of various aspects of events and activation executions, including pre-event timelines, vendor identification & management, logistics, production needs, shipments, etc
- Event and activation hands-on setup, execution accountability, and tear-down
- Support in the identification, scheduling, and coordination of on-site participation of local dignitaries, high-profile individuals, and temporary staffing, including laborers and brand ambassadors
Post Event Reporting
• Assist in the development of event recaps with best-in-class metrics to internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- • Currently enrolled in a higher education program working towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Event Marketing, Communications or a related field from an institution accredited by the U.S. Department of Education
- Flexible schedule with the ability to travel and work early mornings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and social media channels
Other Requirements
- Able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Travel is required in and around the Pittsburgh area, as well as to markets in OH, IN, MD, VA and/or DE
Administrative Responsibilities
- Time and expense submission: Required weekly for project tracking and invoicing
- Perform other related duties as assigned
