NFI Technician Expectations And Responsibilities
- Inspect tire pressure and tread on trailers, tractors, and yard tractors
- Inflate units steer tires to 110 PSI and drives tires to 100 PSI and replace tires (in pairs) with less than 4/32" tread or pressure below 80 PSI
- Manage inbound tire shipments (breakdown and storage)
- Prepare outbound used tires (stacking and banding) for vendor delivery
- This is a hands-on, yard-focused role that requires consistent physical activity and high attention to detail regarding tire safety and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records on daily activity sheets
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed
- Communicate with customers about repairs and maintenance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
