Overview

The Sr. Director of Sales is responsible for developing and maintaining business relationships with customers and prospects by exploring opportunities within assigned market regions. Additionally, the Sr. Director is responsible to assist in the on-boarding/training of new sales employees. The Sr. Director will be required to leverage internal and external supply chain knowledge to help develop and champion strategic initiatives for the organization. The role will be responsible for direct reports to include Sales Executive(s). This position reports to the RVP of Sales.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day marketing and prospecting leads to further company prospects.
  • Develops proposals and builds solutions for clients.
  • Maintains relationships with existing customers on a regular basis, including frequent on-site visits.
  • Communicates issues and concerns with operations, pricing, accounting and customer service to NFI Management team.
  • Prospects and sources new opportunities within assigned regions.
  • Participates in contract, rate schedule development, and bid review.
  • Responsible for creating and delivering high quality presentations to the customer.
  • Partners with peers and management to enhance selling techniques.
  • Provides day to day administrative duties including pipeline and customer contact information updated and accurate.

Training

  • Will lead, mentor, and train new Sales Executives in processes and procedures within organization.
  • Will help to support and enhance sales competencies related to sales and leadership development.
  • Will assist Sales Directors in the selling process where needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years sales experience within the supply chain/logistics industry
  • Minimum 3 years of employment at NFI.
  • Hands on leader, exceptional developer and motivator of people and teams.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, experience in communicating effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Proven track record to cross-sell all NFI business lines
  • Desire to succeed in a fast paced sales environment
  • Familiarity with PC (Microsoft applications)
  • Strong knowledge base of the industry and marketplace
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent communicator who is able to articulate the value proposition of the Company
  • Proven experience in prospecting and developing new business
  • Strong marketing background and capability
  • Excellent analytical skills – assess, design and sell a given solution
  • Attend industry event and functions

Other

  • Ability and availability to work flexible hours
  • Ability and availability to travel as business needs dictate up to 75 % travel

We are excited to share that the base salary range for this position is $221,346.84 - 295,129.12 USD Annual. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining a starting rate of pay.
