What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Counselor - Group Home position at NFI Vermont, Inc.?
The Group Home Program of NFI Vermont is seeking a full-time Residential Counselor to support the needs of our clients. The Group Home is a co-ed residential program that provides assessment and stabilization services to youth and adolescents, ages 13-18. Residential counselors provide supervision of resident daily routines and day-to-day support in the home and community. This includes teaching independent living skills, providing transportation to appointments, participating in recreational activities and promoting a sense of safety and security for our clients during their stay.
Requirements: Superior interpersonal skills and ability to function well in a team atmosphere a must. Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field preferred. Experience working with or parenting youth and adolescents a plus. Typical shifts are 4 days a week including some nights/weekends. Pay range for this position is $20.50 - $23 per hour, depending on experience. Full-time employees working 30 hours or more are benefits eligible.
