NFI VT, a non-profit organization providing community-based, outpatient, residential, educational, and crisis stabilization programs in multiple regions of the state, is currently accepting applications for the position of Development Director. This is a key position tasked to develop the fundraising program.
The successful candidate will have:

Experience with development, giving, and fundraising efforts

Knowledge of the grant cycle to include identifying grant opportunities, preparing proposals and/or supporting others in preparing proposals, tracking and ensuring compliance

The ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations and other stakeholders to secure financial support and ensure long-term engagement

Experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies, campaigns, and events in alignment with the organization's mission

Ability to collaborate and engage with staff and/or volunteers through fundraising and development processes

Confidence in reporting progress to leadership

An understanding of non-profit organizations

Knowledge of the mental health or healthcare sector
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field

Advanced degree preferred

Experience (5-7 years) working in development, fundraising, or related areas with a history of successful donor engagement

Familiarity with donor software, grant tracking systems, and marketing tools preferred

Experience with social media and building social media campaigns preferred

Excellent project management, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Strong computer knowledge, skilled in databases, Excel, and Word applications

Good communication skills with ability to engage with community members professionally

Detail oriented

Ability to handle confidential information
