What are the responsibilities and job description for the Leave Coordinator position at NFI Industries?
The Leave Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and administration of the leave process which includes analytical, reporting, technical, systems and project support. The Leave Coordinator will also help resolve concerns and issues from employees, managers, HR, and other customers and external parties regarding processes and policies through phone, email, case management, and chat. This person will strive to meet all expected service levels and business performance goals, performing a full range of services and fully documenting all cases in the case management system.
Responsibilities
- First point of contact for all general inquiries and processes all incoming inquiries.
- May be required to redirect employees to contact third-party administrators to begin the LOA process. Requires judgment and interpersonal skills in handling calls and HR Help inquiries from employees.
- Responsible for providing appropriate information to Lincoln Financial pertaining to STD and LTD claims.
- Completion of state disability forms (employer sections)
- Sorting and distribution of mailboxes:2-3 times per day
- The role interacts with colleagues, vendors and management to ensure all appropriate information is obtained and documented in compliance with Federal/state regulations and policies of NFI.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding leaves of absences, including, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA and Wage and Hour Law. Provides guidance to internal clients (Employees, HR Business Partners and line managers) regarding interpretation of local, state and federal laws regarding FMLA and ADA as well as related NFI Policies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field. – preferred
- Minimum of three years related job experience.
- Familiar with types of leaves of absences and benefits coordination.
- Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and listening skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing and new priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal, consultative, and organization skills.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding leaves of absences, including HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and Wage and Hour Law.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all employee data and matters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

We are excited to share that the base hourly range for this position is $26.82-$35.75. NFI takes into consideration applicants' qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining a starting rate of pay.
