Job Summary
The Cycle Counter is a critical role responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory counts. This position requires attention to detail, analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Counting: Perform physical inventory count and compare results with system data to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Discrepancy Research: Research and investigate discrepancies between physical and system counts to resolve issues promptly.
- Communication: Communicate cycle count findings to relevant stakeholders and adhere to proper inventory control procedures.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory count records and data files.
- Investigation: Investigate the origin of discrepancies to prevent future occurrences.
- Ongoing Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
- Forklift Operation: Must have experience operating a forklift safely and efficiently.
- Computer Applications: Proficiency in MS Office and other computer applications essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and mathematical skills necessary for resolving discrepancies.
- Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills essential for interacting with internal stakeholders.
- Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Education: High school education or equivalent required.
- Safety Procedures: Must be able to follow all safety procedures and policies.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and/or pull 50 lbs without restriction.
- Availability: Availability to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
