Job description:
NFDA is currently seeking a friendly, motivated, and organized Dental Care Coordinator to join our front office team. As the Dental Care Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering a welcoming, seamless, and personalized experience for every patient. You will be the first point of contact for our patients and are responsible for coordinating their care from scheduling to check out. Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and dismiss patients with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Answer phones, schedule appointments, and collect copays/balances.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary preauthorizations for treatment.
- Assist patients with understanding their treatment plans and financial options.
- Follow up with patients regarding treatment plans, upcoming appointments, and copays.
- Process and submit electronic insurance claims in an accurate and timely manner.
- Coordinate patient flow to ensure minimal wait times and smooth visit.
- Maintain accurate patient records and data entry into the practice management system.
- Uphold HIPPA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required.
- Previous experience in dental, medical, or health care office setting is strongly preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn!
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and oral).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work well independently and in a team setting.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, insurance, Weave and Dentrix is a plus.
- Ability to navigate Microsoft Office is required.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday.
Saturday on rotation with a week day off (once every 3 to 4 Satrudays, subject to change).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
