What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance (NPX-Full-time-Non-Gaming) position at Nez Perce Express?
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF CLASS
The purpose of the class is to be responsible for general cleaning and repairing equipment. The class works according to some procedures but decides how and when to do things under general supervision.
ESSENTIAL TASKS
The tasks listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional tasks related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
- Ensures proper functioning of all equipment of the Nez Perce Express, including gas pumps, makes minor repairs as necessary; reports any discrepancies to supervisor.
- Orders and maintains inventory of maintenance supplies.
- Empties all trash from wastebaskets and garbage cans in assigned areas when needed.
- Dusts and wipes all cleaning areas; keeps all windows clean; waxes floors; vacuums office daily, all other areas as needed; removes cobwebs; dusts light fixtures; removes graffiti.
- Mops and cleans restrooms; fill and cleans dispensers; (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.); cleans mirrors and base boards; sanitizes all sinks and toilets.
- Ensures all windows and doors are unlocked during business hours and locked at the end of business day on a daily basis; reports any discrepancies to supervisor.
- Attend all team meetings and participates in quarterly inventories.
- Provides courteous professional services and is cordial to internal and external guests and/or vendors.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with the ability to be insured under the Tribe's policy.
- Three (3) months experience in the custodial or general maintenance field.
- Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Must be willing to submit pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
