NEYRA Industries is a family-owned company built on a foundation of quality and integrity. We have over 50 years of experience and innovation in the pavement maintenance and athletic surface industry. We are currently looking for an Industrial Maintenance & Welding Technician to join our team.

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Industrial Maintenance and Welding Technician to join our Cincinnati, Ohio manufacturing team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, improving, and fabricating plant equipment and facility systems to support safe and efficient production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment, and the ability to work independently while supporting overall plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all plant equipment is properly maintained to achieve efficiency and productivity levels required to meet customer demands.
  • Conducts regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment, pumps, motors, conveyors, mixers, pneumatic systems, and facility equipment.
  • Executes preventive maintenance procedures and frequency schedules.
  • Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime
  • Hands-on mechanical maintenance, as needed, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Assists with installation, setup, and modification of production equipment and plant systems.
  • Reads blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures.
  • Supports plant operations during equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs.
  • Performs welding and fabrication on plant equipment and tankers.
  • Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
  • Sets up components for welding according to specifications.
  • Operates angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded.
  • Aligns components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
  • Welds components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
  • Repairs machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
  • Tests and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
  • Ensures compliance with all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Works closely with plant management and production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Assists with seasonal production startup and shutdown activities as needed.
  • Maintains equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
  • Maintains building to include, but not limited, to the facility repairs, box assembling, shovel snow, cut grass, and clean machines and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills

  • High school diploma or GED (technical certification preferred).
  • 3 years of maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment
  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and fabrication techniques
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Proven experience as welder
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
  • The ideal candidate will have a steady hand and great attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.
  • Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) and/or successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
