Job Description
Role: Senior IT Business Analyst - Warehouse Management
Location: Pickering, ON
Job Type: 6 Months Contract
Work Model: Hybrid (3 to 4 days a week onsite)
Description:
Senior Business Analyst with deep expertise in transportation, Warehouse, and Supply-Chain operations to support the warehouse system, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of enterprise logistics systems, including Oracle Transportation Management (OTM). This role serves as a critical bridge between business operations and technology teams, translating operational needs into clear requirements and ensuring solutions are delivered effectively, tested thoroughly, and adopted successfully across the organization.
Required Skills & Experience
- 9 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, transportation management, logistics, and supply-chain processes.
- Demonstrated experience supporting system implementation, enhancement, integration, and process-improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to gather, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
- Experience creating process flows, use cases, user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience coordinating UAT, defect resolution, deployment readiness, and post-implementation support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical, hands-on exposure to Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) / Warehouse Management & Operation.
- Good knowledge of project-management practices, including planning, requirements tracking, risk management, and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with requirements documentation tools and process-modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN, flowcharting).
- Understanding of integration points between transportation, warehouse management, and broader ERP/supply-chain systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to varied audiences.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business users, technical teams, vendors, senior leaders, and external partners.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives to completion.
