Job Title: .Net Web Application Manager

Location: Pickering, ON

Job Type: On-site (4 days a week-one day remote)

Position Overview

The Web Application Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of enterprise web platforms ranging from architecture and development to deployment and optimization. This individual must be comfortable leading high-performing teams, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring security, performance, and scalability are built into every solution.

Expertise in .NET Core, React, SQL Server, and Azure cloud services is essential, along with experience in CI/CD pipeline management and containerization. The role requires someone who can balance technical depth with business acumen, translating requirements into actionable roadmaps and fostering innovation within the team.

Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of web developers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Architect and oversee robust web applications using .NET Core, C#, React, and SQL Server.

Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to ensure streamlined deployments and maintain high-quality standards.

Collaborate with business units, IT, product owners, and stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Optimize backend operations with Entity Framework, MS SQL Server, and API-driven design.

Deploy, manage, and secure solutions using Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure Key Vault.

Lead modernization efforts, including migrating legacy systems to cloud-native architectures and containerized services (Docker).

Maintain a strong focus on solution architecture, articulating designs and trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Apply performance tuning, security best practices, and scalability strategies across all web initiatives.

Develop detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), establish clear project milestones, and drive timely delivery of key initiatives.

Establish KPIs and success metrics for the web team, aligning outcomes with business objectives.

Stay ahead of emerging technologies and tools, evaluating their potential fit within the organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

15–20 years of progressive experience in full-stack web application development and IT leadership.

Strong technical expertise in Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET Core, C#, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.

Deep experience in solution architecture, system integrations, and enterprise-scale application design.

Proven leadership in managing cross-functional development teams, including performance management and career development.

Extensive knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure DevOps, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Strong background in SQL Server, Entity Framework, RESTful API design, and authentication/authorization (JWT, SSO, RBAC).

Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills to interface effectively with both executives and technical teams.

Strong organizational and project management capabilities, with the ability to balance strategic oversight and hands-on delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience modernizing legacy systems into cloud-native and microservices architectures.

Familiarity with Azure Active Directory, API Management, Webpack, Swagger, and modern UI/UX frameworks.

Cloud exposure across Azure & other SaaS platforms.

Prior experience with enterprise platforms, portals, or dealer/distributor networks.
