Job Description
Job Title: A/V Tech Employment Status: Exempt
Location: Bothell WA
Contract: 1 year project
Reporting To: SDM Staffing
Job Purpose:
The Site A/V Technician is a key role in the support of the assigned customer. This position is client facing and must be professional with a strong Customer Service attitude. The Sr Tech will work with the Site Lead and other techs assigned to their site to provide excellent support of the clients.
Roles & Responsibilities:
This position shall have the following responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service.
Provide client assistance to support collaboration technology or process.
Provide support on all collaboration technologies including, but not limited to:
oMicrosoft Teams
oMeetup devices
oOwl video devices
oWebex
oZoom
Provide end-user support on process:
oScheduling meetings with technology
oRequesting support
oBasic use of technology
Troubleshoot, to level 1, all issues to capability and resolution.
oSimple replacement of equipment
oSwap of cables
oBasic troubleshooting
Escalate issues, as required, to necessary parties following process.
Weekly room checks
Quarterly room preventative maintenance
Maintain and report on all technology requests within Client’s Incident Management System.
oEnsure all assigned tickets are updated and closed once resolved.
Provide standard weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required and on-time.
Adhere to all Yorktel policies including, but not limited to:
oTime keeping
oOvertime requests and authorizations
oVacation and sick time requests
Adhere to all BMS policies.
Skills & Abilities:
1-3 years’ experience working with audio/visual equipment.
1-3 years’ experience with troubleshooting technical issues.
1-3 years’ experience in a customer facing position.
Basic understanding of IP networking.
Basic understanding of A/V signal flows.
Ability to work as part of team and as an individual.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds/25 kilos.
Ability to walk and be on your feet for long periods of time.
Some overtime required, as allowed by local labor law.
Travel within NJ (no overnight stay) required as directed by their manager.
Climbing of ladders, up to 10 feet/3 meters.
Education & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Not required
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to speak and understand English.
