Electronic Security Lead Technician
Nexus Technology & Security is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Lead Technician to join our growing team. We specialize in delivering advanced Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection systems across commercial, industrial, and enterprise environments.
Responsibilities
- Install, program, and service security systems with minimal supervision, including:
- • Access Control (card readers, controllers, hardware integration)
- • CCTV (IP cameras, NVRs, video management systems)
- • Intrusion Detection (panels, sensors, alarm devices)
- Lead and mentor junior technicians and field team members.
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and service calls.
- Deliver projects on time and according to specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and as-built drawings.
- Provide professional on-site support and client interaction.
Requirements
- 5 years of hands-on experience with Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Detection systems.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain state security license.
- Ability to obtain TWIC Card.
- OSHA 10 Certification (or ability to obtain after hire).
- Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Proactive, hands-on, and detail-oriented approach.
Preferred
- Manufacturer certifications (Lenel, Genetec, Salto, Avigilon, etc.).
- Knowledge of IP networking and low voltage wiring standards.
- Experience with enterprise-level integrations and multi-site systems.
