Bilingual Network Support Technician – English/Spanish
Nexus WiFi
Full-Time | $17.00–$19.00 per hour
Launch or Grow Your Career in IT & Networking
Are you fluent in English and Spanish and interested in building a career in Information Technology?
Nexus WiFi is looking for a Bilingual Network Support Technician to join our technical support team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a basic understanding of computers and networking and wants to develop real-world IT skills while gaining hands-on experience with Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
You don't need to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone with a solid technical foundation, strong problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn. We will provide training to help you expand your networking and troubleshooting skills.
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required for this position.
What You'll Do
As a Bilingual Network Support Technician, you'll provide remote technical assistance to customers and field personnel across the United States.
Nexus WiFi supports approximately 700 clients nationwide, giving you exposure to a wide variety of networks, equipment, and real-world technical issues.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to inbound technical support requests
- Providing technical assistance in both English and Spanish
- Troubleshooting LAN, WAN, internet, and wireless connectivity issues
- Diagnosing Wi-Fi connectivity and performance problems
- Troubleshooting routers, switches, wireless access points, and firewalls
- Working with customers and onsite personnel to identify and resolve technical issues
- Configuring and troubleshooting network equipment
- Documenting support cases, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions
- Monitoring and supporting managed customer networks
- Escalating complex technical issues when necessary
- Troubleshooting PCs, printers, POS systems, and security camera systems
Technology You'll Work With
Our managed networks primarily use Ubiquiti / UniFi equipment. You'll also gain experience working with equipment and technologies from manufacturers including:
- Ubiquiti / UniFi
- Cisco
- Meraki
- Ruckus
You'll regularly work with:
- Routers
- Managed switches
- Wireless access points
- Firewalls
- LAN/WAN networks
- Wi-Fi networks
- PCs and printers
- Point-of-sale (POS) systems
- Security camera systems
What We're Looking For
You do not need to be an advanced network engineer to qualify for this position.
We are looking for someone who has a basic technical foundation and, most importantly, the ability and desire to learn.
A strong candidate will have:
- Fluency in English and Spanish
- Basic understanding of computer networking
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and Wi-Fi
- Familiarity with routers, switches, access points, and firewalls
- General computer troubleshooting skills
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Good customer-service skills
- Ability to manage multiple support requests and priorities
- Strong attention to detail
- Dependable attendance and a professional attitude
- A genuine interest in technology and developing a career in IT
Critical Thinking & Problem Solving
This isn't a position where you'll simply read from a troubleshooting script.
Successful technicians at Nexus WiFi learn how to analyze a problem, ask the right questions, gather information, identify possible causes, and work through the issue logically.
The ability to think critically and troubleshoot unfamiliar problems is important.
We're looking for someone who has the potential and motivation to continue developing their skills and eventually take on greater technical responsibilities, including opportunities to advance into a Lead Support Technician role.
If you're naturally curious about technology and enjoy figuring out why something isn't working and how to fix it, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Why Nexus WiFi?
You'll gain practical IT and networking experience by supporting hundreds of real-world customer environments across the country.
Instead of working on the same network every day, you'll encounter different equipment, configurations, customers, and technical challenges. This provides an opportunity to quickly expand your networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
For someone looking to begin or grow a career in IT and computer networking, this position can provide valuable hands-on experience.
