Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and outgoing trivia host to join our team! The ideal candidate will have the ability to host a fun and exciting game and create a positive atmosphere for all players. Please apply if you live in Astoria, Queens or surrounding neighborhoods.
Requirements
- Strong speaking skills, stage presence, and a sense of humor.
- Ability to host an event independently and troubleshoot any issues that may occur, remaining calm under pressure.
- Tech-savvy enough to operate trivia software apps and audio/visual equipment.
- Possession of a laptop with strong wifi capabilities.
- Possession of a cell phone with a strong cellular data connection.
- Flexibility to work 2-3 nights a week for 2 hours a night.
- Previous experience in customer service or event hosting is preferred.
- Availability on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings.
Duties:
- Host trivia nights at bars and restaurants, keeping the crowd engaged.
- Run the game using web-based trivia software. Read the questions in an engaging manner and correct the answers.
- Address player inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Distribute prizes and take winners' photos.
- Setup and breakdown audio/visual equipment if needed.
