Position Summary

Join an advanced clean-energy manufacturer developing a breakthrough semiconductor-based power technology that continuously generates electricity - redefining the boundaries of renewable energy and industrial-scale reliability. Backed by significant investment and global manufacturing partnerships, the organization is building it's first semiconductor division in a new facility in Houston, Texas to bring this world-first “always-on” clean-power innovation to market.


As Process Engineer, you’ll serve as a technical specialist driving the design, optimization, and scaling of cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing processes. You’ll work directly with executive engineering leadership to transform pioneering research into robust, high-yield, industrial production systems - advancing a technology positioned to change how the world produces power.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and refinement of semiconductor device fabrication processes, with emphasis on thin-film deposition and process integration.
  • Design and optimize end-to-end workflows for high-volume manufacturing using physical vapor deposition (PVD), inline magnetron sputtering, and large-format substrate handling.
  • Drive troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives across complex vacuum, gas, cooling, and automation systems.
  • Integrate robotics, PLC-based control systems, and quality assurance tools to enhance throughput, consistency, and reliability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, equipment design, and operations teams to translate laboratory results into scalable production solutions.
  • Serve as a technical mentor to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of precision, learning, and innovation.
  • Contribute to the protection and advancement of core intellectual property and manufacturing standards.


Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • PhD or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a closely related field with a focus on semiconductor devices or photovoltaics.
  • 5 years of experience in advanced semiconductor process engineering, thin-film manufacturing, or related high-tech production.
  • Deep technical expertise in PVD, magnetron sputtering, vacuum chamber systems, gas and power management, and large-format substrate handling.
  • Proven success scaling complex R&D processes into high-yield industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with automation, robotics, and PLC-based controls in semiconductor fabrication settings.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills with an aptitude for mentoring and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth environment where innovation and adaptability are essential.
