We are partnering with a leading food manufacturing platform to appoint a VP of Engineering & Capital Projects (North America). This is a key leadership role driving capital execution, engineering standards, and infrastructure build-out across a growing private label platform.
The business is entering a significant investment phase, including automated packaging expansion across multiple sites and greenfield development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end capital projects, including greenfield builds and automated packaging line installations (robotics, material handling)
- Provide engineering oversight across multiple North American sites, partnering with business and operations leaders
- Build and implement standardized maintenance and reliability strategies
- Improve project execution, engineering governance, and capital planning discipline
- Drive initiatives across digitalization, automation, and energy efficiency
- Operate effectively within a matrix structure, influencing cross-functional stakeholders
What Success Looks Like
- Consistent, high-quality delivery of capital projects
- Scalable engineering and maintenance standards across sites
- Successful rollout of automated packaging capabilities and new facilities
Candidate Profile
- 10–15 years in engineering, capital projects, or operations leadership within food, beverage, or FMCG manufacturing
- Experience in private label environments, ideally across coffee, spices, nuts, or similar
- Proven track record delivering large-scale capex (automation, packaging, facility builds)
- Comfortable operating across multi-site, matrixed organizations
